Options
5 weekly after-school activities (1-2 hours depending on school programmes, over a 5 week period) - as our Nature Based Learning Programme is designed to run.
Cost £1,250- Includes all equipment and materials necessary. Ability to work with current school resources, to reduce wastage. Recommended for up to 15 students, but with a capacity to accommodate further students. With the benefit of extra weekly or individual sessions £250.

After-School 5 Week Programme
Each activity is linked to Science, Geography, PSHE and DT curriculum targets, supporting Ofsted’s sustainability and outdoor learning aims whilst nurturing well-being and eco-awareness.

Week 1: Groundwork
We prepare the space by pruning, weeding, and clearing. This is an essential step for the workshops. Students can participate for hands-on experience (optional but recommended).
Week 2: Preparing the garden with no-dig beds and planters
Students will build a raised planter matching existing structures. They will create 2-4 ‘no-dig’ beds or raised planters, and learn about soil regeneration, its impact on climate, food quality and community health.

Week 3: Sowing and potting
Students will sow a variety of seeds using trays, modules, and pots. Learn watering, seed care, and how nurturing plants supports human wellbeing and our environment.
Week 4: Planting and pruning
Students will plant vegetables and herbs, learning the care needed for each. They will understand composting, soil health, watering, spacing, and maintaining a garden.
Week 5: Composting and Wormeries
Students will learn how to turn garden waste into nutrient-rich compost. Create a wormery using brought material, to reduce food waste while producing natural fertilisers. Learn how to create, maintain, and utilise their own wormeries at home.
