• Community gardening in central Peterborough: planting, watering, composting, and harvesting fresh produce

• Event support for family-friendly workshops and seasonal festivals

• Remote volunteering: admin, marketing & social media, impact reporting, policy writing, digital content, and more

• Specialist roles in research, fundraising, operations, and communications

You’ll gain hands-on experience, connect with likeminded people, and support a unique green space in the heart of Peterborough. Whether you're available regularly or just once in a while — on site or remotely — your time makes a real impact.

We are located at The Green Backyard PE2 8AT, which is an accessible site with free, limited parking, but please note the accessible toilet is at the rear of the site.

We are a welcoming, inclusive space for anyone looking to connect with nature and community gardening. However, to keep our site safe and positive for everyone, please note that our team is not equipped or trained to offer one-on-one support for complex or severe physical and mental health conditions.
