An attractive and delicious vegetable used much the same as spinach. Plant produces excellent yields of dark green leaves with crimson stalks and veins. Dark green leaves are slightly rumpled.

  • Use leaves from young thinned plants in salads.
  • New leaves will grow out from the centre.
  • Cut back plants in late summer to rejuvenate them for autumn production.
  • Swiss Chard is resistant to frost, and can be harvested well after first frost.
